Everything's coming up roses

Yesterday (see my backblip) a blue-sky arrow in a white-cloudy sky pointed ahead of us from France to England as we crossed the Channel after a month away. We had a fab time in la belle France, but it's nice to be home, too. The garden has exploded in greenery and colour - as if overnight, to our eyes - over the course of four weeks. I'm happy to say we've not missed the second summer of our yellow rose (Charlotte), with lots of buds as well as fully opened blooms. Our red rose (Fragrant Cloud) in its first season is covered in buds, too. Shall enjoy seeing - and sniffing - those, too. The David Austen Charlotte rose has a very delicate scent.

Today I've had a migraine - zigzag lines, nausea, the lot! - but we've had hours of thunder and lightning, so maybe that's the cause. The pain's lifting now and I'm hopeful of going line-dancing tonight.
