Douglas Bay

A drive out to the North of the island and then a dash back to Douglas to see the Wales v. England match.

During the match I was shocked to hear news of the death of Batley and Spen M.P. Jo Cox who was shot and stabbed outside Birstall Library this afternoon. Jo was a former pupil of my old school Heckmondwike Grammar and Birstall Library is one of the buildings I manage.

Dinner in the hotel with "Gin and Tonic Cheesecake" for dessert.

A 4km stroll on the promenade after dinner to walk off some of the excess.
