Through a Glass Darkly

Hello again, I'm back. The next fortnight's (or so) blips are from my holiday to the Orkney islands. The weather was fine (for Orkney1) but we didn't get the heatwave that happened "down south". Neither did we get the torrential rain. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
I may put together a photobook of my favourite shots as I have far more than can be accommodated here and also I think we should print more.

It was coincidence that the holiday coincided with the centenary celebrations of the Battle of Jutland and the sinking of HMS Hampshire but that just added a certain poignancy to some of the sites.
