As the bishop said to the bishop...

Attended a "Leading Women" workshop today.  Some participants travelled over 600 miles to attend.  Bishop Genieve and Bishop Kay gave excellent talks on being some of the first female bishops within the Australian Anglican church. 

Two of the other speakers, Dr Muriel Porter and Dr Canon Reverend Colleen O'Reilly,  were instrumental in the fight for women's ordination way back even in the 1970s. 

 They were all inspirational and thought provoking.  To be honest, they have all had to put up with a lot of c**p to get to this point.  Marvellous women and the church is richer for it.
