Bitter and twisted

TeamGB have done all the work to catch the leaders throughout the Olympic road race and the rest of the peloton have sat back and let them do it. It's looking like Mark Cavendish's chance of winning is gone and I have to say the team tactics in these races often don't make much sense to me. So many people in the race seem to be there for a jolly and little more. Why bother turning up if you are not actually going to take part?
