Rural Sancerre

Saint Solange 880AD - "Her abductor grew enraged and beheaded her with his sword; Solange's severed head invoked three times the Holy Name of Jesus, Solange picked up her head in her own hands and walked with it as far as the church ..." This is what you need to do to become a saint?!

This was one of the stained glass windows in the church at Chavignol where we walked through the vinyards to and tasted the local produce (wine & cheese).
