Who lives in a house like this?

We went for a walk around the Fairy trail at Doon Hill near Aberfoyle this morning. There are a number of carvings like this which are great for children's imaginations.  At the top of the Hill is the Clootie Tree (see extra); Clooties (or clouties) or rags are left hanging on the tree in the superstition that as they rot they will cure the illness of a loved one, or grant a wish as long as you walk around the tree 7 times  - but you walk backwards at your peril! The whole hill is steeped in mystery and mysticism. Legend goes that the local minister was kidnapped by the faeries and his soul encased inside the tree.
