South Dakota scene

We finally arrived in South Dakota this afternoon, but to get to our destination, we had to travel across the entire state, which is almost 400 miles. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the scenery immensely. There are very large farms lining both sides of the highway. We saw tons of cattle, tons of hay bales, and lots of gorgeous blue sky. We arrived at our little cabin around 7pm, with plenty of time to grab some groceries and a little dinner. Then we shared a glass of wine on our little porch while we listened to the ducks in the pond. There is a hefty breeze this evening, but it feels lovely. I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow, but I guarantee the photos will be spectacular.

The extra photo is a grey heron that flew by our cabin and perched at the top of an evergreen tree.
