St Abbs

Our long weekend in Alnmouth came to an end today and we set off northwards after breakfast. Stopped in St Abbs for a coffee and wander. It's a lovely Berwickshire fishing village and I was lucky enough to get one of the lobster boats leaving the harbour and speeding into the North Sea. In the distance is St Abbs Head with its gannets. My extra is looking back towards the village, tumbling down the hill to the harbour. The RNLI withdrew the lifeboat at St Abbs last year and the community is installing an independent lifeboat. There's a lot of harbour activity with both fishing and charter boats so it seems like an important place to station a lifeboat.
