Take Off

This is part of a sequence that I took of a heron flying off from the pedestrian bridge over the Bielwater. For once in a while it stayed quietly on the bridge rail while I had a chance to set up my camera before it took off. The low sun set it off nicely against the background of the darkish trees. I rather liked the way it stood on its tip toes before taking off.
