Trollius europaeus

or Globeflower.  I am told it is uncommon in Caithness.  There's a patch of it at Coronation Meadow near Dunnet Beach, where I was attending a wildflower photography workshop run by the Highland Countryside Rangers.  We were hoping for Primula scotica, but alas they weren't out yet.
