Bracken

It annoys me that we can't get rid of bracken easily and so I've picked this shot for this weeks Mono Monday challenge.
Some believe that it causes serious health issues if it gets into the water supply or is ingested. Certainly most folk know to avoid it during the late summer months when the spores are most potent. It used to be controlled using chemicals like Asulox but they have been heavily restricted now. Ploughing and rolling seem to work in some cases but not practical on a hillside.
So until it's widely available again, we'll need to make do with trampling it, cutting it and trying to get other things to grow in it's place.
