Buffalo herd

We spotted this small herd of buffalo as we were driving a scenic road in Custer State Park this morning. You can easily see the babies along with the adults. The buffalo are plentiful in this park. We also saw a pronghorn antelope along the way. We drove a scenic road called Iron Mountain Road which offers wonderful views of Mount Rushmore and then rode for 2 hours on an 1880 steam train. We ended the day by cooking steaks on the grill back at our cabin while watching deer in the field, a heron land on the pond, and then bats flying all over in the dark.  This is a wondrous place.
