FAR FROM A TINY DAY....

.... today (back on Blip 22nd).

As you are aware following a Prostate Cancer op three years back I spend good quality time helping out with the local Support Group. An involvement from this, has our Group assisting the Cancer Council of NSW's activities as well.

Today was a really important day for them and their volunteers, with the official Opening of a new Cancer Council Information Centre designed and built within the brand new Blacktown Hospital.

From my pic taking at the Cancer Councils Relay's for Life etc I was asked to take some pics for them at the official opening today - so Tiny Tuesday became a "BIG" Tuesday!

My pic shows the volunteers at the function in the new centre which has been decorated with a wonderful painting (behind them) by local aboriginal artist Leanne Tobin.

Opened by the Blacktown Mayor the link here from the web article by the Blacktown Sun gives some further info if you have time.

And, of course Tuesday is babysitting day with Alice so the rest of the day was the "icing on the cake" for a full day.
Sorry missed this week's TT!!

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
