Flogging a Dead Horse?

I ventured out today to the Museum of East Anglian Life, but the weather was wet and miserable so I got the next bus home after a quick look in the stable block where I saw this appeal to save the Suffolk Punch, the oldest British breed of heavy horse (dating from the sixteenth century) which has been declining in numbers and is now critically endangered.

Not much of a picture but I thought it worth recording, and at least it was something to show for my day out.

(The Suffolk Punch is not dead, and still much loved, but in smaller numbers than its devotees would wish!)
