Harmless little Oregon snake

soaking in the early morning light and because of that lying very still. I will put the whole snake in the extras. It seems so big on this picture but it is not thicker than my index and may be 45 cm long.
I spend 4 days without hubby who had to return to Reno for some business. My friend Maggie gets very protective then, not in the way of being nasty to others but by staying all the time very close to my side...That will be the second extra. And tonight the pack will be complete again :-)
