Wide angle Wednesday poppies

Great day out with the  U3A village detectives looking at Norton St. Philip today and lunching  in the George Inn dungeon.  (Reputedly where 20 soldiers were incarcerated after they were caught on the wrong side in the Monmouth Rebellion.  'Bloody' John Jefferies  sentenced them all to hang)

Drove home across country through the most lovely landscapes with heavy lowering skies that added to the sombre thoughts of those poor soldiers who were only doing what they were employed to do.
