A Very Fine Example...

...of a very fine car.
This is an Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 346, built between 1953 - 1958.
It had a 3,435 cc 6 cylinder engine - hence the designation '346' - and cost around £1,750 when new.
The radiator mascot is a Sphinx  - to emphasise it was  "As silent as the Sphinx".
This was a top quality car ranking alongside Jaguar and Daimler.  Production ceased in 1960 and the company merged with Rolls-Royce in 1966.
