Germania calling Britannia... ?

...while whole europe is waiting for the result of the EU referendum I used the chance to visit the Niederwalddenkmal in Rüdesheim. This monument was constructed between 1871 and 1883. It is a commemoration of the foundation of the German Empire at that time....

..the central figure is the "Germania"....  while walking around I thought I could hear her whispering  ....  "Britannia don't leave me alone..."
