Fathers' Day

Despite one daughter being in Canada and another unable to make the trip back from York, I still had plenty of company, today. Dan and Abi, of course, and also Charlie and Hannah, who came up from Manchester.

Charlie cooked us a massive and delicious breakfast and then we spent a fair chunk of the afternoon building the sofa I bought on Friday and also sorting out the downstairs bedroom (pictured) for Izzy, who's going to spend the summer with me when she graduates from York.

It was a hoot having all the kids around, as it usually is, and in the evening, after Dan and Abi had gone back to their mum's, Charlie, Hannah and I drank some wine and played Scrabble. Perfect.
