Salvage from the Wreckage

The morning after...

Yesterday was rather full on. A hot and fast hour of 5 a side at lunchtime and then TWO Powerleague 5 a sides in the evening. Can't remember feeling so beat-up! Both of our opposition teams managed to bring along three things that we didn't - substitutes, a goalie and Youth. Luckily, for our second match, the other side hadn't already had a 40 minute match as a warm-up. Wouldn't have wanted to make it too easy. But, even so, we were winning at half-time. We just couldn't keep it up though and so suffered our second defeat of the evening.

Too tired to hang the washin up after my bath so this greeted me this morning. Along with the referendum result. So disappointing. My main disappointment is that the Leave campaign was framed in terms of negatives - mainly around cutting immigration - rather than a positive desire to engage with the wider, non-EU, world. Our two children are going to have to live with the consequences for years.

Oh, and in case I'm reading this in six month's time and can't remember what happened, the referendum decided in favour of LEAVING the EU. Sorry if any of you were planning to watch the coverage on Catch-up...
