Tel's Blips

SEMPERVIVUM arachnoideum

The Sempervivum or Houseleeks in my garden have broken out into these small flower heads each approximately 1cm diameter. They originated from the mountainous regions of Europe and Asia and are really easy to grow in a rock garden or trough.

This picture was talen in a light tent and is processed in Helicon Focus from a stack of 14 separate shots. The focussing of each shot in the stack was controlled by the computer using Helicon Remote which comes as an addition to the main Programme.

Although I usually prefer flower images to have softer out of focus areas some subjects seem to work better with a large depth of field.
