Fire Garden

Part of the Harrogate International Festival, the Valley Gardens is playing host to some interesting fire raisers for three nights.

This probably isn't doing our bit for global warming, but there are some colourful sights, as the sky becomes dark. This particular structure is slowly rotating, so the shapes change as you stand still.

The tripod was too cumbersome so some startling ISO values were necessary - but great fun.

I've added a couple of extras - a brazier standing above the water on the model boating pool and you wouldn't expect me to avoid photographing people, especially when the mobile phone casts such a spooky light on her face.
