On the Other Hand

Nothing is as bad (or good) as it appears at first. This country has enough intelligent, capable people to make a go of being an independent, outward-looking, tolerant, successful nation.
If it turns out we've been lied to by the Farages and Johnsons of this world we can always "take control" and unelect them.  Heads on sticks?
