White rabbits on the hillside?

Alice. 'One can't believe impossible things.'

'I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. 'When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.'

Well, many of us in England are this morning sharing Alice's predicament (in "Alice through the Looking Glass.")

If Britain is to leave the European Union, there can be nothing odd or disturbing in the idea of Trump becoming US president.

The decades-long split within the Tory Party is at the root of this disaster. 

It's OK for us seniors, we will suffer relatively little from the changes; on the other hand, our children and grandchildren have been betrayed.

High time to emigrate, perhaps.....?
