Sochraide Síle

We were down in the very beautiful area of Gougane Barra this morning for a funeral in the little oratory church there on the lakeside. Síle one of Zillah's mobile library customers was being laid to rest. In the tiny church we stood near the back, more people outside who couldn't fit inside. As this is a Gaeltacht area, many of the prayers were in Irish and the choir, squeezed in near us, sang entirely in beautiful, fluid Gaelic. I felt privileged to be there.
One more in extras.
