Rich red brown

Another maize cob but this one stripped of all seed.The remains go a rich browny red and look quite furry.

I have been using the wet day to catch up on my dna matches and writing to people to swap ideas on how we might be related. I have only just surfaced from staring at the computer to quickly blip before continuing.

I have added an extra cropped down so the whole thing is sharp. The original has an out of focus piece on the left and I find it catches my eye.
I experimented quickly with different metering on the 700D to get different effects. I'm not sure about that blur on the left. What do you think?
