Dunnottar Castle

Dunnottar Castle is an old ruined fortress which sits atop a cliff in rural Aberdeenshire.  It is seeped in history and was once a hiding place for the Scottish Crown Jewels.  Well worth a visit if you are in the area.  There are many steps down to sea level and then back up to the castle...but all the effort is worth it for a visit.  It's very photogenic, with spectacular views from every angle.
