Armenian insects

There were not just butterflies (50 plus species) on our expedition to a semi-desert area east of Yerevan in Armenia. Amongst lots of other insects were 100s of this Nemoptera species, a relative of ant-lions. It was tiring in 30 degrees and constant sun. Heading north to the cooler forests tomorrow.
