I spy....

Well, last night took an unexpected turn as we were heading to bed.
A house party down our road, full of drunken, loud teenagers, was shut down by the police. While they were busy dealing with those around the house (we reckon there were about 50 kids at one point), we saw one guy smash a window of a car, which happened to belong to our neighbours. Iain threw on some clothes and headed out to let the police know - so a while later, we were giving statements to the police. What a wee idiot.

Today was far less exciting. A tour of my brother's new house (via FaceTime), a visit to Out of The Blue Drill Hall for the Art Mart as part of Leith Late, and then over to Figgate Park in Porty (my first visit), for a picnic lunch in the sun.

The girls and I stayed in the park, watching the swans and cygnets and playing in the play park.

Iain returned from dropping the eldest SBG at a party, then we all headed down to the Beach House (in the rain by this point) for coffee and juice.

We all managed to get completely soaked.

Left Iain and the SBG in Porty to head home, make veggie chilli, do some chores and soak in a hot bath.

Just checked the weather for next weekend (we're off to Eigg). Glad I bought those waterproof trousers the other day. Looks like I'll be needing them!!
