Murano

Which on predictive texts came up as Nuts I!! Haha! Murano is very pretty and has hundreds of glass shops as you'd expect. We bought a beautiful sculpture of Pegasus in an opaque jade coloured glass with flecks of gold. It's being shipped home - hope it arrives in one piece!! I also bought some FitFlops with glass beads on and a necklace...

We've walked miles and miles so far and after getting the water bus back to Venice, found a spot by the Rialto bridge for a cold drink. We sat next to an American couple from Atlanta who are crew for Delta airline. We had a great time and ended up staying with them for hours, chatting. She'd lost her father only last week and had brought some of his ashes to Venice to scatter. She did it just before we arrived. So sweet and lovely. She wanted to do it there because he'd always wanted to go and it's her favourite spot to sit.
We got the last hotel boat back at quarter to midnight and we went into our new room because we'd been upgraded! Result!! ;-)
