Cragside

Back blip day 9 - Last full day of our break today, not sure where those 10 days have gone!  We had a brief visit to Northumberlandia, I found it a bit odd, then on to Newbiggin-on-sea where there is the statues looking out to sea, I liked them and Matt thought they were a bit odd! (see extras)

We also called in at Alnmouth, just for a stroll on the beach and then on to Seaton Delaval Hall at Seaton Sluice. It was very wet when we got there so no pictures of this huge Hall, some parts derelict for many years due to a fire, but all very interesting.  

We then went on the the NT Cragside property!  Oh my word what an enormous estate!  We had some biblical down pours but didn't really get wet.  We visited the house, and walked to the formal gardens, where the lovely robin kept us company.

We also drove around the 6 mile estate drive which was great too!  Lots to do at Cragside but we ran out of time to see everything which must mean we need to return to Northumberland.......
