A concrete love affair

Dorset's Charmouth Beach

This is genuinely one of the best beaches I've visited in the UK. Part of Dorset's Jurassic Coast it is a favourite amongst fossil hunters and my travel companion Kieran was one of the many today. For me I loved the drama of the view looking west with huge 600 feet cliffs tenuously rising above with rockfalls breaking up the vanishing point. A stunner, up there with other favourites like County Durham's Blast Beach, Devon's Welcoombe Mouth and Norfolks Holkham Beach.

Previous to this beach we'd been to Lyme Regis, after we went to Chesil Beach before Portland Bill and back to Weymouth. Overall a fantastic day of Dorset discovery.
