Trafalgar Square ...

... in London, not from the air, but in a wonderfully detailed architectural model displayed at the National Gallery--which is the sprawling building at the top.  In a short morning we went mainly to the National Portrait Gallery, which is contiguous with the NG behind it on the right. There we visited the BP Portrait Award 2016 exhibition, with with the winning portraits selected from nearly 3000 entries from around the world. It was quite stunning, as always.

In the afternoon we took a train to Norwich, to join a birding tour in Norfolk for the next four days. Stay tuned.
