A Thousand a Day

Grisedale Tarn

What a walk!
I took this shot of Fairfield, overlooking Grisedale Tarn, as I started the push up towards the summit of Dollywagon Pike. A few marvelous hours later, with Dollywagon Pike, Nethermost Pike, Helvellyn, White Side and Raise under my belt I was on my way down to The King's Head in Thirlspot. The extra shows Bassenthwaite, the Skiddaw range and Blencathra as I headed towards a well earned pint. Such a fabulous walk, with five Wainwrights, all over 2,500ft, that I didn't even mind missing England's whitewash of Australia. A very happy day.
