Final Appearance

Having traveled to Sonoma County and back and Contra costa County and back yesterday, OilMan's cake is about to make its final appearance at a family gathering later today. It's looking a bit disheveled but still tastes good (I had one last breakfast of cake today) I still have to make another one for the celebration we showed up for a week early, but it will most definitely be a different kind of cake. And if there is any left, it will not leave the premises with us!

The thick fog and dripping trees of our morning walk have finally given way to sunshine and I'm grateful that the children and grandchildren about to arrive for the last birthday hurrah will be bringing most of the food. I don't think they'll mind a slightly used cake....
