Number Eighteen

This place sits about half-way down Leith Walk, behind a pub that has changed owners and names several times.  The newest pub is slick and good-looking and stylish, but this place looks exactly like it has for twenty years.

It always looks brilliantly shady; we'd assumed it was a very rough drinking hole or knocking shop, but apparently it's a gay sauna.  It's been going long enough to have been through times when it would have had to have kept its profile very low indeed.  Now when I looked it up I found it featured in dozens of gay visitor guides.    That seems kind of cool.
