Night school

Having missed the opening ceremony last night (no telly) we tried to avoid news about it until we could watch it this evening at my folks who had taped it. Well, most of it! Here the kids, having laughed their socks off at Mr Bean, and ooh'd and ah'd in all the right places, settled down to try and find all the countries as the athletes arrived. Granted asking them to find Liechtenstein on a map of this scale was possibly a little unfair.

The earlier part of the day was about hasty packing and shopping, and a slow drive (borrowed car and treacherous conditions) to my folks to briefly see my sister and her partner, and then settle into the warm glow of endless cups of tea.
