Cecelia, student nurse

25th june 2016:

Having spent just one week in St John's Hospital as a trainee nurse, Cecilia came home with a list of requirements as long as your arm.
We went through the list checking off copies, pencils, erasers, rulers, coloured pencils, uniforms, black leather shoes,  and the list went on.
But then came the real stuff like a stethoscope and a blood pressure machine.
Mary asked Cecelia to walk over to the press and take out the blue bag, and when she opened it, she found a present from Liam Stewart.
There was a kind of uncontrollable giggling and an expression of most extreme surprise, joy and something of being excited and delighted, without actually jumping up and down.
She examined and felt, more or less disbelieving and that maybe it was an illusion, or unreal or not for her.
I will never forget it.
She decided to try it out on our friendly neighbour (victim.
She has worked with us for the past four months and will continue to do so in her free time.
She is an amazing young woman and we wish her well.
She has most generous donors for her first year of three.
