WINTER BEAUTY:

It is hard to believe there was thick, thick fog until lunch time & then it gradually dispersed.........drifting up to the alpine valley in the middle of this photo, where it lies like a blanket. Incidentally this valley is a glorious drive, on a fine day.
Strangely, at this time of the year the mountains always look much nearer, probably because the air is so clear & pure; & an added bonus, because I only grow deciduous trees, you can see so much more of the lake. This is my favourite view in the garden, it is only a couple of steps from my kitchen door.
