Surprising Cabbage

I don't much like cabbage. So when my lovely wife informed me that not only had we got some growing in our veg patch, but it was ready to harvest and... EAT (yuck) I wasn't looking forward to it.

But you know what? I actually liked it. Maybe I've not had it cooked so nicely before (fried up with bacon bits and a splash of garlic oil) or maybe cos it was so fresh, but it was really lovely. So maybe I do like cabbage. You live and learn.
