Meet the Swan Family

I have also backblipped yesterday's So sweet! ...... do hope you will have a look :-)

We got a rude awakening at 03:30 this morning ....... a Vixen was screaming just outside our bedroom window! (Either mating or dominance was taking place) In fact they was so close we couldn't see anything! Then they moved away in opposite directions & we could see them. Not quite what we expected ..... but that's life in the countryside for you!

After a lazy morning we headed off to the Wolesley Centre ........ where we met this family of Swans ....... couldn't resist blipping them ...... the cygnets looked so cute toddling along with their parents :-)

We also saw a Terrapin basking in the sunshine (extra) ..... a Water Vole ran across the path in front of us & there were lots of birds singing away. When we wandered out into the field ..... the cows were all lying together deep in the undergrowth ....... never seen that before!

I am gradually bringing my journal up to date ....... I'll get there sometime!
