Palm Tree Trimming Day

Today was the day the palm trees were trimmed in our yard. Usually they have someone climb the trees, but this crew was lucky to have the "cherry picker" available. 

The limb that is falling in the picture is the flower of the tree. If left to go to seed, you end up with thousands of seeds in the yard and then thousands of palm trees growing in your grass the following year.

As I post this, (two hours later) the sky has turned grey and thunder is rumbling. Looks like we will have rain again tonight. Maybe I will get lucky and get a picture of lightening strikes......better set up the tripod!

I am grateful for people that have the ability to do jobs I could never do.
