Christmas Lights

The people of Norway give the people of Orkney a Christmas tree every year. Last night we had the switch on of the lights, followed by a big ceilidh. A super start to the Christmas celebrations.

These are the lights on the smaller tree in the village square. Today there was a Christmas bazaar in the hall so we went and bought some decorations, ate some mince pies and won the world's smallest bottle of wine, after buying dozens of raffle tickets!

Also bought a lovely photo of an iris from Northern's son's stall. That boy is a chip off the old block!
