Poppies

A common topic today I'm sure.

I've always loved poppies, and one thing I love about them is the way they spring up in inhospitable places; cracks in the pavement, the tops of walls, hidden corners. In this way, I think they aren't just the remains of battlefields - they are a hope that something beautiful can come from destruction and despair.
