Rosslyn Chapel

We took the train up from York to Edinburgh, arriving just after midday,  We then picked up our hire car and drove out of the city centre to the chapel at Rosslyn.  We were pleased to arrive just a few minutes before the rest of Tim's family who had driven up from Leeds.

After lunch we photographed the outside of the chapel and then went inside to look around.  Unfortunately there is no photography inside but that's probably a good thing given how crowded it was!  The church is ever so detailed, and contains many references to The Green Man alongside the expected religious symbology.

We then had afternoon tea before taking the short walk to some of the castle ruins.  We then drove to our hotel, checked in, then took a short walk in the park before driving out for dinner..
