Threadbo

Saturday and Sunday very much overlapped. The Olympic thing ended a bit after midnight, then I had to get up at 4am to catch a 5am bus to Threadbo, a mountain about 3 hours south of Canberra.

I'd had a bit of internal debate a few days prior about whether I should ski or snowboard. I know I'm a fairly competent skier, although I tried snowboarding once and enjoyed it way more than skiing, but was pretty bad at it. I decided to take the risk, and it worked out really well. Turns out I can snowboard alright!

It was all a bit surreal. It was snowing, yet it was warm enough to fully sunbathe half way up the mountain.

An amazing, hectic and tiring weekend.
