Northern Exposure

Stronsay

A very early start to catch the first ferry to Stronsay with organisations that offer various different health and wellbeing services. I was there to do tai chi taster sessions for Arthritis Care, others were offering advice and letting people know what services are on offer. There were also workshops on things like spinning or needle felting.

Sadly there was a very poor turnout. Could have been lots of reasons why but we suspect the fabulous weather had a lot to do with it. Despite having only a handful of people it was still a good day as everyone was a laugh and those that tried the tai chi certainly enjoyed it. I also got the chance to try spinning, which was great fun.

After we finished we had an hour or so to wander round the islands and of course we had to have a paddle in the sea. We all decided that the day had been like a very bizarre school trip.
