Changing Colour

These hydrangeas outside the kitchen window
used to be pink.
Now they're turning blue and purple and
I don't know what to think.

Of course, it all depends upon
the acidity of the soil.
But they give me something to ponder on
as I wait for the kettle to boil.

.... and while I've been faffing with photos on Photoshop and scribbling ditties, the sun's come out at last. Hope it does last! Better hie me outdoors before it changes its mind. The sky can change colour even faster than hydrangeas.
