North Berwick North Sea view

Is backache infectious? It would seem so since I seem to have caught Mr hazelh's week-long affliction. I have absolutely no idea how I have hurt myself, but it took all morning, ibuprofen and a couple of glasses of wine at lunchtime to sort me out today. I just hope that the drugs are doing more than simply masking the pain.

We spent the afternoon in North Berwick visiting our friends Liz and Tony and their daughter (and our god-daughter) Katie. The original plan was to cycle there, but Mr hazelh is in such a state that there was no point in even trying to get the bike up our steps, never mind undertake a 50-mile round trip by tandem. So we drove along the coast (gingerly) for a few hours of fun: sitting at the window seat admiring this lovely view; munching our way through a delicious lunch of salmon with roast vegetables and homemade cheesecake; and a walk along the beach with Milly.

Katie is heading off to Australia on Wednesday and was considering how to document her trip. We suggested that a Blipfoto journal might be a way to do this. She experimented with a first entry today. Do pop over and welcome Katie to Blipfoto if you have a chance.

Exercise today: short walk along the beach.
